When should I make a decision to enter a JELCC Career Program?
Most students enter the program as juniors or seniors, so it is best to make some decisions while you are a sophomore.  Some programs have recommended courses you should take before you enter the program, so it’s not too early to find out more about your chosen program when you’re a freshman or even before.

When can I enroll?

The Enrollment Request Online Form will open in conjunction with the Annual JELCC Open House in December. Students may submit course requests for the upcoming academic year through the online form. Outside of this designated enrollment period, students must consult with their high school counselor to express interest and verify program availability. In some programs, the number of student requests may exceed the number of available slots. In such cases, students will be placed on a waitlist.

What happens after I fill out the form?

• A copy of this form will be shared with your high school counselor at your home high school.  Enrollment into a JELCC program will be determined by the home high school and finalized by JELCC administrative staff.  To confirm your enrollment at JELCC, please see your high school counselor.

What if I need to make a change on my form?

• Contact your high school counselor.

What can I do with the skills I learn at JELCC after I graduate?

• You may go directly to a high-wage, high-demand job with a bright future.

• You may go on for more training in a one or two-year program after high school.

• You may go on for a degree at a college or university.
