Hello, I’m Andy Rice. I hold Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Automotive Service Technician credentials complimented with ASE Advanced Level Specialist credentials and, of course, an Indiana Teaching License for Career Technical Automotive Program Training.

Prior to becoming a High School Automotive Program Teacher, I taught Automotive Service at the college level for over 10 years. The 2017-2018 school year marks my fifth year teaching at the High School level. I am proud to have received the J. Everett Light Career Center “Teacher of the Year” award in my third year teaching here, but I’m even more proud of the successes of my students.
My goal for students is to, not only teach them as much as I can about Detailing and Mechanics, but teach them how to become employable, self-sufficient members of our society. With this strategy, I have seen many of my students advance on to promising careers in Automotive and other industries directly out of high school. I have also had many students graduate and enter college and/or military service. I am proud of every one of them. My focus is on your child’s future success!
